The Innovation Clinic ERDF project assists SMEs in Lancashire bringing new products to market. It focuses on design and engineering, across products types and sectors: improving new product performance across commercial, manufacturing, usability and design direction aspects.
The Innovation Clinic project has been running successfully since July 2013 and now needs to recruit a Business Engagement Officer to attract and support businesses to the project. The Business Engagement Officer will liaise with SME businesses in Lancashire to identify new to market products that will assist the company to develop and grow. They will work with the rest of the project team to ensure that beneficiary projects are completed in line with expectations. They will also need to develop good working relationships with ERDF project partners, including BOOST Business Lancashire.
Experience of business development working with SMEs in Lancashire is essential, as is experience of working in a creative agency or design for manufacture environment. Educated to degree level or have equivalent experiential learning, the post holder will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to translate the HE resource into business solutions.
