The School of Natural Sciences at the University of Central Lancashire welcomes applications for the post of Lecturer in Archaeological and Forensic Osteology. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and enthusiastic Archaeology and Forensic Science team which teach across a range of degrees including at post-graduate taught and undergraduate levels. This is a permanent post at 0.8 FTE.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Carry out teaching on the BSc and MSc Forensic Science degrees, as well as teaching osteology on other degree schemes such as archaeology.
• Contribute to the research culture of the Archaeology team, being returnable in the next REF in Archaeology.
• Carry out other duties, such as course development, student recruitment and outreach, where needed.

Applicants will have a good honours degree (or equivalent), Masters qualification and PhD in Osteology or relevant discipline (e.g. physical anthropology).
